To combat antisemitism through education advocacy, solidarity, informed and constructive engagement with students, staff, faculty, and administration, and with a shared understanding of Zionism as an expression of Jewish identity and self-determination.
About Us
Matadors Against Antisemitism (formerly known as CSUN Alliance Against Antisemitism) was formed in Spring 2024 in response to the rise in antisemitism on college campuses nationally and at CSUN specifically in the aftermath of the Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
A network of Jewish and allied faculty and staff from across all CSUN Colleges, Matadors Against Antisemitism (MAA) is committed to the idea that antisemitism, like other forms of hate, has no place on campus and is contrary to the CSU’s stated goals—and the academy’s principles—of diversity, inclusion, and belonging. We are thus dedicated to combating antisemitism at CSUN and to educating the campus community, including university leadership, in how to recognize and effectively address it.
